Nashville has been gaining ground in the food and drink scene, but we’re not quite there when it comes to great wine bars.

There is so much great wine to drink in my home state that I can't believe I haven't heard of these wineries before now.

My latest USA Today assignment was great, as I got to write about my favorite city of all time. I spent a lot of time in Pittsburgh growing up and in recent years, so putting together a list of favorites was super fun. Enjoy!

What's better than writing about your hometown? Answer: not much. For this assignment, I got to spend weeks running around town trying the latest handmade goods and newest restaurants. I wish I could have put 80 things on this list instead of 40!
